Squad Progression

Chatteris Kingfishers Swimming Club cater for swimmers of all ages and abilities from young learners upto masters. For swimmers who aren't yet in the A Squad, it is useful to know what criteria are used to judge swimmers before they can progress through to the next squad.
Movement is at the coaches' discretion and the following criteria will be taken into consideration when assessing swimmers for potential progression to a higher squad.
          •        Commitment to competition, we are a competitive club and we value commitment
          •        Dedication and attitude to training
          •        Attendance - this has an effect on stamina and performance
          •        Stamina
          •        Stroke technique
Each group has its own skill requirements; and therefore every movement between groups is considered carefully by both coaches involved. A trial period will be arranged should it be deemed necessary.
